Cavite group vouches for VP bet Sara


A group from the vote-rich province of Cavite has expressed its backing of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte's vice presidential bid in the May 2022 elections.

Throwing its full support behind the presidential daughter was the General Parent-Teacher Association-Kabite Federation (GPTA-Kabite Fed).

During the recent meet-and-greet of presidents and officers of GPTA-Kabite Fed in Naic, Cavite, Duterte--who also sits as chairperson of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) party--said she was elated with the support coming from the group.

"Thank you so much for the trust you are giving. I will never let you down any of our fellow countrymen," said Duterte, whose moniker is the "Eagle from Mindanao".

Meanwhile, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of General Trias echoed the message of GPTA-Kabite Fed and reckoned that the lady mayor was "fit for the job" as vice president.

The GPTA-Kabite Fed is an umbrella organization of PTA officers from 18 municipalities in Cavite, which includes Naic, Rosario, Ternate, Alfonso, General Mariano Alvarez, and Amadeo.

Cavite is coveted among poll candidates given its high voter population, which is over two million.

Duterte and presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) comprise the so-called UniTeam. The have consistently led pre-election surveys.
