RSG Philippines continued to roll in the MPL Philippines Season 9, defeating Nexplay Evos, 2-0, to notch its third straight win on Saturday, March 19.

After ending the series of futility against NXPE in their first meeting this season, it was RSG’s time to assert its mastery over its nemesis with a regular season sweep.
RSG improved to a 6-2 record with 16 points on the board to keep track of the spot with only two points behind league-best ECHO.
Dylan “Light” Catipon set the tone for the rout with a 1-1-12 showing on the Franco in the series opener and a 0-1-12 KDA on the Tank Silvanna in Game 2.
RSG slowly took control of the match in Game 1 behind the timely Iron Hooks from Light’s Franco, none bigger than the one he landed on Jhonwin “Hesa” Veragara’s Brody late which allowed RSG to secure the one-sided 18-6 win.
Emman “Emann” Sangco and Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto fed on Light’s hook plays to finish with an impressive 6-0-6 and 6-2-8 KDAs on the Beatrix and Lancelot respectively.
Riding the momentum, RSG punished NXPE despite the latter re-inserting rising rookie Michael “MP the King” Endino to the lineup in place of John Paul “H2wo” Salonga.
With Light providing the initiation on his Silvanna, RSG raced to a commanding 9-0 lead in Game 2.
NXPE, though, refused to go down without a fight as they managed to defend the first Lord march thrown by RSG with key pick-offs on Dexter “Exort” Martinez’s Kagura and Demonkite’s jungle Karina.
RSG then retaliated with a four-man wipe in the next clash to take the Luminous Lord. However, MP the King completed a clutch Lord steal to pump some life to NXPE’s cause. RSG remained composed in the series clincher as Exort executed a highlight Flicker-Yin-Yang Overturn on his Kagura to take down Hesa’s Beatrix and score an 18-6 Game 2 triumph.
