Pacquiao to offer free housing within 1st year of presidency

Senator Manny Pacquaio vowed to immediately implement his promised free housing program for Filipinos if and when he gets elected president in the upcoming May polls.

The presidential aspirant said Saturday, March 19 that he will include housing projects under the current administration's "Build, Build, Build" If he is given the chance to continue it.

"'Pag tayo po ay naging pangulo ay nationwide ay iimplement natin 'yang pabahay program natin dahil matagal na po natin ginagawa yan bago pa man po tayo napasok sa politika (If I become president, I will implement my housing program nationwide, because that's what I have been doing even before I become a politician)," Pacquiao, who is regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time, said Saturday during the presidential debate hosted by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Pacquiao said the implementation of his plan will happen in the first year of his administration.

"Ang gusto ko dito sa ating bansa, walang pamilya ang walang sariling tahanan (What I want for the country is for no family to be homeless)," he said.
