Explore Samsung’s newest Galaxy A series

Ending the first quarter of the year, after making some big announcements with their Galaxy S line, Samsung now opens the runway for the Galaxy A phones.

We’ve always been big fans of Samsung’s mid-ranged Galaxy A phones. They’ve always looked great and are snappy performers. The cameras themselves are superb and capture plenty of light.

The A lineup includes a trio of 5G phones: The A73, A53, and A33, followed by the A23 LTE and the A13.

The Galaxy A13 and A23 are the most affordable in the lineup, priced P10,490/P11,490 and P13,990.

A13 and A23

The A13 features a Full HD+ screen with a 1200x2408 resolution, 5000mAh, and powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 850. There are four cameras in the rear, 50MP+5MP+2MP+2MP. Front camera has 8MP. Among its camera features, Samsung boasts the natural blur effect, which allows users to adjust the blur in backgrounds to make their subjects stand out. Other effects include creating a “spinning blur” motion, blurring zoom motion, and color point, which adds some highlights.

Memory storage includes 128GB and is expandable up to 1TB. Of course, Samsung recommends their own Evo Plus memory cards. There are two RAM configurations, 4GB and 6GB, which affects the A13’s final price.

If you want something with a little bit more power, you can check out the A23 instead. It uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680. RAM options include six and eight gigs, and internal memory starts at 128 up to 256, plus memory card expansion up to 1TB. Cameras are basically the same as the A13.

Now we’re moving to the higher mid phones. Samsung says these Galaxy A phones are targeted for the Gen Z. Because, according to Samsung, these are people who grew up in the digital age, making them tech savvy. Also, living in the digital world, they’ve used technologies for online learning and an avenue for their side hustles. Also, most of them are content creators. Upload something on TikTok, that’s being a content creator already.
