BI nabs two illegal aliens in Mindanao

Operatives of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) have arrested two illegal aliens in Mindanao for overstaying and working without permit.

BI Intelligence chief Fortunato Manahan, Jr. told Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente that 54-year-old Yuehui Li was caught in Panabo City, while Jianren Zhao, 55, in Tagum City.

Manahan said the two Chinese nationals were not only overstaying, but working without the necessary work papers.

Jianren was caught manning a hardware store.

He said a woman who tried to help Yuehi escape during the operations will be charged with obstruction of justice.
