EdTech company partners with DepEd, local universities to boost PH education

A pioneering Philippine-based global EdTech company has partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) and various schools, colleges, and universities to accelerate educational technology transformation nationwide through education computing.

Cloudswyft Education Partners

Cloudswyft Global Systems is working with the Philippine education sector to push seamless education computing through its end-to-end virtual labs platform solution.

This partnership is part of its initiatives to drive digital transformation and gear up for modern hybrid learning in the post-Covid world.

The partnership entails that the CloudSwyft platform automates and digitally transforms every university’s computer laboratory facility requirements and provides a cloud-based subscription model that is both economical, efficient, and on-demand.

CloudSwyft has been at the forefront of creating a new category of education computing in the industry and serves as the country's education de-facto solution by providing end-to-end virtual labs solutions to the Philippine education sector.

Aside from DepEd, CloudSwyft has also partnered with De La Salle University-Dasmarinas, San Beda College, Miriam College, Enderun Colleges, Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA), Tarlac State University (TSU), STI Education Group, Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP), Southville International School and Colleges (SISC).

It has also kick-started pilot deployments with more top-notch universities in the country such as Mapua University, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB), Ateneo de Zamboanga University --- among others.

“With new challenges being faced by the local education sector, especially over the last two years, the transformation of educational institutions in terms of scale, delivery, methodology, and experience is more critical than ever from the past decades - hence we are leading the shift to this new category of education computing in the industry,” CloudSwyft Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dann Angelo De Guzman said.

De Guzman explained that for students and teachers alike, having to transition to a remote or hybrid learning modality becomes a necessity --- thus, the shift towards more accessible methods of learning is evident.

“Learners now have more options to complete their programs than just the traditional classroom experience, and the mission of CloudSwyft is to help accelerate that shift through our cloud-based solution,” he said.

De Guzman added that the partnership entails that the CloudSwyft platform automates and digitally transforms every university’s computer laboratory facility requirements and provides a cloud-based subscription model.

It also offers either a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model or a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) model for each education institution.

CloudSwyft's virtual labs solution for education is designed to align with existing Business and STEM course curriculums across all faculty departments such as Computer Science, Engineering, Architecture, Business Statistics, Multimedia Design, Industrial Design, Information Technology, and Hospitality Management --- among others.

Meanwhile, Vice President of Sales Prince Billy Datu explained that CloudSwyft aims to help education institutions globally in this transformational journey of learning anywhere, anytime, on any device through the “use of customized and bespoke proprietary virtual labs technology that we have built.”

These, he added, are tailored to every instructor or educators' needs and without the limitation of hardware specs --- especially when learning any subject that requires a certain set of applications or software tools for practice-based hands-on learning.
