The concubinage case against rapper-vlogger King Badger has been filed at the Quezon City regional trial court.

Jon Gutierrez, popularly known as King Badger, has submitted himself to the QCRTC to face charges of concubinage and violence against women slapped against him by his ex-wife, actress Jelai Andres, according to a statement sent by Jelai's legal counsel, lawyer Faye Singson.

Atty. Singson also said that King immediately surrendered and posted bail. Meanwhile, the annulment of the former couple's marriage, filed by Jelai, is also underway.

Last year, Jelai filed a case against King for his alleged relationship with Juliennes Vitug a.k.a. Yumi Garcia, who, at that time, was a minor. Yumi is now of age to face the consequences of her indiscretion and, if proven guilty, can be punished according to the law, Singson added.

When Jelai filed the case in 2021, she told the media: "Ang kasal ay isang sakramento, huwag nating gawing normal ang pakiki-apid. Nawa’y maging isang leksiyon ito sa mga may mister na pasaway at sa mga babaeng walang pakundangan makipag-relasyon sa mga lalaking alam naman nilang may asawa at mas matatapang pa sa tunay na asawa."

Singson added: “It is only fair that Jelai obtains justice because of the suffering she has gone through. She experienced deep trauma due to King's infidelity."

The arraignment of King Badger's case is scheduled for today, March 17.
