Amid fuel prices hike, Lalamove and industry partners rally to aid partner drivers

Lalamove ramps up its assistance to its partner drivers amid the spike in local fuel pump prices with fuel discounts and rewards, as well as promos on vehicle maintenance, healthcare, and even loan assistance.

With reports of double-digit fuel price increase nationwide, the on-demand delivery platform's partner drivers could turn to the company’s current Panalomove fuel partners to avail of discounts and other rewards, such as the following:

Caltex

₱3.20/L off on Caltex platinum Techron and Silver

₱1.50/L off on diesel with Techron

₱10/L off on lubricants

Unioil (1 point is equivalent to ₱1 discount)

2 points/L on gasoline

1 point/L on diesel

4 points/₱100 worth of purchase on lubricants

Shell (1 point is equivalent to ₱0.50 discount)

Lalamove partner drivers can pay with points to purchase Shell fuels, lubricants, and Shell Select/Deli2Go items.

“Bilang rider, malaking bagay po ito lalo na sa sitwasyon ngayon. ‘Yung Panalomove discounts , malaking tulong po talaga ngayon (As a rider, this is big deal especially in the current situation,” said Cristobal San Jose, who has been a Lalamove partner driver for nearly 4 years.

On top of the fuel benefits, Lalamove partner drivers also receive exclusive discounts on other goods and services. To name a few: Generika and Maxicare for medicine and healthcare; ALLCARE for worker benefits; Ministop for exclusive discounts on their chicken meals, ready-to-eat products, beverage, and grocery Items; Bosch for special discounts on spare parts; Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP), and Autoworx Plus for vehicle maintenance; and preferential rates from City Savings Bank for loans and financing needs, as well as easy access to a revolving credit line, a high-yielding savings account, and free insurance, through CIMB Bank.

While the Panalomove program has been around since 2018, Lalamove has been continuously working with these brands to enhance the benefits for its partner drivers. Apart from fuel discounts and rewards available, the on-demand delivery platform has also coordinated with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), and the Department of Transportation (DOTr) for the inclusion of Lalamove partner drivers as beneficiaries of fuel subsidies.

“We understand that these are tough times for our partner drivers. With the rising fuel prices showing no signs of slowing down, we began working with government agencies such as DTI, LTFRB, and DOTr to include qualified Lalamove Partner drivers among the beneficiaries of the fuel subsidy under the General Appropriation Act of 2022 to help ease the impact on their income, on top of our existing Panalomove discounts and benefits for them,” announced Lalamove Philippines Managing Director Dannah Majarocon.
