The Bureau of Customs (BOC) based at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has expressed its readiness to receive more local and foreign passengers, including tourists and their baggage, after the government reopened the country to fully vaccinated travelers.
BOC-NAIA District Collector Carmelita Talusan said they have already increased their manpower at the NAIA in anticipation of the influx of travelers in the coming days, which comes with more duty shifts.
She said the BOC also added more X-ray machines in warehouses and ensured that they operate 24/7.
The BOC-NAIA earlier launched the One-Stop-Shop to cater to all time sensitive imports, especially COVID-19-related importations. The Port also launched two Customer Care Centers (CCC)-- one is located at the main building while the other one is at the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) in Pasay City.
Talusan reminded all travellers to be aware of regulated and prohibited goods in order to ensure faster Customs clearance.
