The Department of Health (DOH) reported 564 more people who contracted Covid-19.

Sunday's figure pushed the Philippines' overall tally of confirmed cases to 3,670,739, of which, only 46,537 remain as active cases, based on the data shown in the agency's official website.

The regions with the most cases in the last 14 days were the National Capital Region, Calabarzon, Western Visayas, Central Luzon, and Central Visayas.

The total number of Covid-19 recoveries increased to 3,566,592. The death toll stood at 57,610.

It was also shown that 912 of 3,701 intensive care unit (ICU) beds; 4,579 of 20,773 isolation beds; 1,917 of 14,037 ward beds are currently occupied by Covid-19 patients.

To note, these hospital beds are dedicated for Covid-19 patients.

The DOH urged eligible Filipinos to complete their vaccine doses in order to be protected against the viral illness.

"So, ngayong mababa ang mga kaso ay ang akmang pagkakataong dagdagan ang proteksyon ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino. Kapag sinabi nating buong pamilya – iyong lahat nang puwedeng bakunahan, five years and above lalung-lalo na po iyong ating senior citizen (now that the number of cases is low, this is the right time to increase the protection of every Filipino family. When we say the whole family, all those who are eligible for vaccination—five years old and above, especially our senior citizens)," said DOH Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje in a recent public briefing.

"Ang bakuna po ay proteksyon hindi lang para sa sarili kung hindi para rin sa kasama natin sa bahay at sa komunidad (The vaccine serves as a protection not only for ourselves but also for our relatives at home and in the community)," she added.
