PAGASA: Warm, humid weather across PH due to easterlies

In the next 24 hours, expect warm and humid weather with a slight chance of isolated rains and thunderstorms across the Philippines due to easterlies, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned on Sunday, March 13.

“Easterlies ang prevailing weather system natin kaya’t nakakaranas tayo ng warm and humid conditions. ‘Yung eastern side ng Luzon may mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at pagkulog na nararanasan (Easterlies is our prevailing weather system that is why we are experiencing warm and humid conditions. The eastern side of Luzon may experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms),” said PAGASA weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin in a public weather forecast.

The State weather bureau said that cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may prevail over Bicol Region, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon due to the easterlies.

This weather system may likewise bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Meanwhile, Bulquerin said that no weather disturbance is expected to develop nor affect the Philippines in the next three days.
