Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. brought his son Ferdinand “Sandro” Marcos III as a surprise for locals during the UniTeam grand rally in Las Piñas City on Sunday, March 13.
“Sabay, sasalubongin ako ng sign, nasaan si Sandro (They come up to us with signs, where is Sandro)?” Marcos said at the grand rally which took place at "The Tent."
“Si Sandro hindi ko na sinasama dahil ang payo sa akin ng aking magulang, huwag daw ako aakyat ng entablado na may kasamang mas magandang lalaki (I don’t bring Sandro with me anymore because my parents advised me not to go up on stage alongside men more 'attractive' than me),” Marcos Jr. said in jest.
Marcos Jr.’s parents were Imelda Marcos and the late Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
The presidential aspirant then introduced his son Sandro Marcos much to the delight of the attendees.
The other half to the UniTeam tandem, vice presidential bet Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, was also at the event.
“Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat dito sa Las Piñas sa oras at oportunidad na ibingay ninyo sa amin na makasama kayo, makilala kayo, at makapagbigay ng mensahe para sa inyong lahat (Thank you to Las Piñas for the time and opportunity you gave us so we could be together, to get to know you, and for us to give you our message),” Duterte said.
Also present were 11 members of the UniTeam’s Senate slate: Sherwin Gatchalian; Loren Legarda; Mark Villar; Migz Zubiri; Harry Roque; Jinggoy Estrada; Gregorio Honasan; Dante Marcoleta; Robin Padilla; Gilbert Teodoro; and Larry Gadon.
Meanwhile, UniTeam rally-regular Toni Gonzaga was also at the event.
Prior to the grand rally, the team held a caravan that wove around Las Piñas. It lasted nearly four hours.
