DOLE closes application for its Covid-19 cash aid for workers

The application for the Covid-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP3) assistance for private-sector workers has been officially closed, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced on Saturday, March 12.

DOLE Sec. Silvestre H. Bello III said that since March 4, the agency has already stopped accepting online applications for the CAMP3, which provides a one-time P5,000 cash aid to workers affected by Alert Level 3 or higher declaration.

In January, Bello said the agency launched the program to help displaced or affected workers after the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) placed most parts of the country under Alert Level 3.

He added that CAMP3 would reopen if the IATF would reimpose Alert Level 3 status.

For workers who applied before the system’s closure, Bello clarified that the department will still process and evaluate their applications as stated under Labor Advisory No. 06 series of 2022. They may track the status of their application through this link: https://reports.dole.gov.ph/track_application.

Before the announcement, the DOLE had already approved 29,973 CAMP3 applications with the most number of workers from the National Capital Region at 58,008 (35 percent), followed by CALABARZON with 18,935 (11 percent), and Region III with 17,024 (10 percent).

“DOLE is ready to continue providing support to affected workers through its various assistance programs and employment facilitation services,” Bello said in a statement.
