Loyal Sara asks followers to support UniTeam, shuns 'pairings' of her with other Palace bets

Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) chairperson, vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte doesn't want to get "paired up" with presidentiables not named Bongbong Marcos.

Presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos (left) shares a light moment with his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte during the UniTeam grand rally on March 11, 2022 at the Santa Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna (Lakas-CMD Media)

This can be gleaned from her statement Friday night, March 11 when she was asked to react to the pairings that her own followers and fans have been doing with her and the various presidential candidates running in May.

Duterte first expressed how thankful she is to those who prefer to vote for her as vice president, but stressed that she was sticking to her partner, Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer Marcos.

"Well nagpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng mga supporters sa kanilang patuloy na pagsuporta and sa kanilang pagpapakita ng mainit na suporta sa akin (Well I thank all the supporters who continue to support me and to those who have been warm with their support)," she said in an ambush interview after the UniTeam's grand rally at the Santa Rosa Sports Complex, Laguna.

"Patuloy po akong nakikiusap at nananawagan sa kanila na suportahan po ang UniTeam ni Bongbong Marcos at Sara Duterte, maraming salamat (I continue to appeal to them to support the UniTeam of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte, thank you very much)," added the incumbent Davao City mayor.

She then bowed--with palms together--to the reporters and left without taking a follow-up to the fantasy pairing query.

Darlings of the north and south of the archipelago, respectively, Marcos and Duterte have both been consistent in their call to for unity among Filipinos before, during, and after the May 9 polls.
