The Las Pinas City government launched the “Vaxx to School, Bakunahan sa Paaralan” on Friday (March 11) at three private schools in the city as part of the three-day national vaccination drive.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the program aims to vaccinate students, teachers, and school personnel at their respective schools.
Aguilar said they want to protect the students, teachers and school personnel against the Covid-19 once the face-to-face classes start.
She said the city government conducted the “Vaxx to School, Bakunahan sa Paaralan” at St. Joseph’s Academy, Elizabeth Seton, and Divine Light Academy.
Paul San Miguel, head of the Public Information Office (PIO), said the mayor was very thankful to the three private schools for coordinating with the City Health Office (CHO) for the inoculation of their students, teachers and school personnel, as well as the students’ parents who want to receive the vaccine.
San Miguel said the program also intends to reach out to the city residents who remain unvaccinated.
