Three policemen from Palo, Leyte are now in serious trouble after after they were accused of not only extorting money but for sexually harassing a woman whom they arrested last year for a case relating to fixing documents for police applicants.
They were identified as Police Senior Master Sgt. Alex Garciab Asis, Police Staff Sgt. Raffy Mendoza Retosar and Police Corporal Jerwin Neopus Dacillo, all assigned to the Palo Municipal Police Station in Leyte.

The three were arrested for repeatedly extorting money from the victim but her revelation on how she was treated by them disgusted even their fellow police officers.
The victim, whose name is withheld, told the investigators of the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) that the three cops arrested her in October last year for a case of extortion against police applicants who wanted to ensure their acceptance in the Philippine National Police (PNP).
She was detained for more than a month at the police station and it was then that she was allegedly harassed sexually by the three policemen.
Among them, she told the investigators, was that she was repeatedly asked to wear skimpy outfits while washing a police car and she was repeatedly asked to go to the office of the three cops or the police station kitchen where the three cops would make sexual advances.
At the time that she was repeatedly harassed sexually, the victim was pregnant. She lost her baby to miscarriage.
The victim was able later to post bail but the three cops would continue contacting her to demand money from her.
Police Lt. Mary Jane Cuevas, IMEG spokesperson, told the Manila Bulletin that the victim later learned sought the assistance of IMEG after learning of its existence.
Cuevas said that the three cops have been extorting money from the victim for four months through a modus operandi wherein they would scare the victim of the issuance of an arrest warrant against her for a similar case to which she was arrested and charged last year.
"The most recent was that the victim was being asked to produce P36,000. In exchange, the three policemen promised her that they would take care of the arrest warrant," said Cuevas.
PNP-IMEG director Police Brig. Gen. Oliver Enmodias said an entrapment operation was immediately mapped out which resulted in the arrest of the three policemen at around 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 10.
Seized from them were P6,000 marked money; P460 in different denomination; two handguns and four units of cellular phones.
The three policemen are now under the custody of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Tacloban City and are now facing criminal and administrative charges.
"These administrative charges will automatically lead to their expulsion from the police force," said Enmodias.
PNP chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos vowed to continue running after erring cops in the PNP.
"I assure the public that we continue our aggressive campaign to rid our ranks of this kind of police destroying our organization," said Carlos.
Enmodias also renewed his call on the public to report the presence of any police personnel involved in irregularities to their hotlines (Smart) 0998-9702286 or (Globe) 0995-7952569.
