Not only that, the presidential daughter and Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) chairperson told her supporters to "throw a burger" at the cancel culture mongers.

"Huwag ho kayong pumayag na kayo ay batuhin ng cancel dahil po sa pangagampaya ninyo para kay Marcos-Duterte (Don't allow them to throw cancel at you for campaigning for Marcos-Duterte)," Mayor Duterte said during a "meet and greet" Thursday morning at the Batasan tricycle terminal in Quezon City.

Then, using her right hand create the shape of a "c", she said, "Kapag kayo po at binato ng cancel, batuhin niyo po ng . Burger ng UniTeam ni Marcos-Duterte (If they throw cancel at you, throw a at them. A burger from the UniTeam of Marcos and Duterte)."

While she didn't explain why she chose an imaginary burger to counter the cancel culture mongers, the crowd apparently understood what she meant and roared in approval.

Mayor Duterte is the running mate of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer Bongbong Marcos.

Mayor Duterte would repeat her anti-hate message later in the day in Payatas where she spent a few minutes talking to local residents and graciously taking selfies.

She said those who campaign for the "red and green" of Marcos and Duterte should just throw a "UniTeam burger" at those who seek to cancel them.

"Canceling" in the age of social media means calling out a person with an element of shame that may or may not be deserved.

Senatorial candidate and chief presidential legal counsel Salvador Panelo, who accompanied Duterte in Thursday's Quezon City sorties, said that only the UniTeam is running on the platform of unity.

Other May 2022 poll aspirants, Panelo said, are more inclined to criticize fellow candidates or dig up dirt about them.
