Fuel price surge that had the cost per liter of diesel, gasoline, and kerosene rising with their highest increment this year became the major concern for Filipinos, with lawmakers quizzing officials of the Department of Energy (DOE) on how to keep the skyrocketing prices on check.
President Duterte signed a law that raised the age of sexual consent from 12 to 16 that will provide stronger protection against rape and other forms of sexual exploitation.
A Palace official said sustained economic activity will be the country’s best protection against the effects of the raging Russia-Ukraine conflict, even as more than 1.5 million people have reportedly fled from the besieged eastern European country.
