Official launch set in May 2022
Mitsubishi’s popular seven-seater family MPV gets a brand new look for 2022. It also comes with refinements to the interior quality and enhanced utility and drivability. Families that want to get a headstart on the crowd can now place their reservation for the new Xpander starting today.
First locally introduced in 2018 and since then becoming Mitsubishi’s best-selling model, the Xpander accounted for 54.40% share of market, further imposing its number 1 position in its category.
“Came as no surprise to us that the Xpander helped MMPC deliver a strong retail performance. It checks all the boxes when it comes to the qualities that our customers look and yearn for in an MPV. Aside from local recognition, it continuously garners awards from different parts of the world which is a testament to how outstanding it really is,” said MMPC President and CEO, Takeshi Hara. “These were part of the inspiration for the newest Xpander, which will actually be already offered in advance to our Filipino customers. But it doesn’t just end there, we also have a special pre-selling treat in store before the month ends.”
For the 2022 model, customers can expect a refreshed exterior, featuring advanced SUV styling bannered by the new signature T-Shape head and tail lights, redesigned horizontal front bumper, and larger 17-inch wheels and side sills.
Changes have also been made to refine the interior quality. This gives it a more robust SUV feel, starting with the adoption of Mitsubishi’s Design Identity of Horizontal Axis in the dashboard, soft padding accents, and seven-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Naturally, it also comes with enhanced utility and drivability. It comes with a flatter and more comfortable ride due to the addition of high performance valves in the front and rear suspension while still keeping its best-in class ground clearance of 225 mm.
The new Xpander will have five color options including the newest Blade Silver Metallic and will retail for a starting price of P1,030,000. Sign up for interest at Mitsubishi’s official website and follow @MitsubishiMotorsPH in Facebook to be updated with the latest announcements.
