Jed Madela reacts to netizens calling him names after getting notice from BTS's RM

"If you can't respect, don't even open your mouth..."

This is what singer Jed Madela posted on Instagram, recently.

It is a quote from South Korean rapper, songwriter, and record producer Kim Nam-joon, a member of the popular boy band BTS, better known by his stage name RM.

Jed then added: "...or even type on social media."

This is in reaction to fans calling him names after sharing how RM noticed a couple of his post.

"Just because I’m in the same industry doesn’t mean I can’t look up to someone...," he related.

"Just because I’m a certain age doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to be a fan...," he reiterated.

Jed noted how people are so judgmental and quick with their tongues.

But he is not looking for a fight.

"I choose to be kind. That is the right thing to do," he said.

"Yes, I hurt. Coz I’m only human. But more than the pain of being bashed, I am happy because I choose to see things on a positive note," he added. "I hope you find that peace you’re longing for and throw away that envy you have in your hearts."

It all started with Jed happily sharing how RM noticed a picture of a toy he sent him last December.

"Even the smallest gesture can already be a huge thing for someone... for me," he said.

Yesterday, March 1, he sent RM another photo, that of of the BTS-inspired VuDu art toys he made.

This time, RM actually responded with a heart reaction.

Jed was over the moon.

"Sorry, guys. I’m fanboying," he declared.

"Yeah, I’ve met international artists in the past but when you 'connect' with someone you really adore, it’s different!," he said. "I will forever be a fan of BTS!"

"Now, I can’t sleep... I’m happy."
