House Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda and broadcaster Raffy Tulfo emerged as the most preferred senatorial candidate in the survey recently conducted by OCTA Research.
The survey, conducted from Feb. 12 to 17, 2022, showed Legarda getting 66 percent or six out of 10 respondents. Legarda, representative of the Lone District of Antique, is seeking a Senate comeback in the May 2022 elections.
Tulfo ranked second garnering 63 percent, while Taguig City Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano gets 61 percent.
On the other hand, Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri ranks fourth at 60 percent, followed by Sorsogon Gov. Francis Escudero at 59 percent and former Public Works secretary Mark Villar at 56 percent.
Ranking 7th in survey is actor Robin Padilla at 43 percent, followed by re-electionist Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian and former vice president Jejomar Binay who are tied at 39 percent. They are followed by re-electionist Senator Risa Hontiveros at 38 percent, former senator Jinggoy Estrada, 37 percent, and former senator JV Ejercito at 35 percent.
Dr. Guido David of OCTA Research said the survey covered 1,200 respondents nationwide with a margin of error of ±3.
