Jason Brickman and the league-leading Kaohsiung Aquas overcame the hot shooting of Jordan Heading and produced a 122-113 overtime victory over the Taichung Wagor Suns in Taiwan’s T1 League.

Brickman had 13 points, five rebounds and five assists as the Aquas remained on top of the six-team league with a 12-4 record while bouncing back from a 131-125 loss to the Taiwan Beer Aquabears that also went into an extension.

Kaoshiung lost that game despite 25 points, eight rebounds, 16 assists and six steals from Brickman.

Heading sizzled for 36 points after knocking down seven three-pointers, but the Suns failed to complete a weekend sweep and dropped to 9-7 for fourth.

Taichung was coming off a 108-102 victory over Caelan Tiongson and the Taoyuan Leopards with Heading scoring 12 points.

The Leopards, with Tiongson among the standout performers, snapped a nine-game skid with a 118-99 rout of the Tainan GhostHawks for just their second win in 13 matches.

Tiongson produced 16 points and seven rebounds as Taoyuan won for the first time since December.
