500 children, 5-11 years old, get COVID jab in Baliwag, Bulacan

Five hundred children, aged five to 11, were given their COVID-19 vaccines during the “Resbakuna Kids” vaccination program held at SM City Baliwag on Monday, Feb. 28.

The children, accompanied by their guardians or parents, were administered the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

To make vaccination fun for the kids, the mall's inoculation site carries a country farm theme, equipped with kid-friendly areas for screening, registration, vaccination, observation, and monitoring. The mall also staged balloon twister activities to entertain kids at the venue.

For children with health risks, parents are encouraged to secure clearances from their pediatrician first before getting them vaccinated. They will also need to bring valid ID cards or documents with photos of their children instead of a birth certificate.

Consent forms, assent forms, and health declaration forms will also be made available on site.

On Wednesday, March 2, the pediatric vaccination in the province will be conducted at SM Center Pulilan.
