Presidential candidate Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso underscored the importance of debates because the Filipino people deserve to hear the objectives of those who are seeking a position in government.

During the CNN Philippines Presidential Debate on Sunday, Feb. 27, Domagoso said presidential debates were like the Human Resource (HR) Department interviews, and the candidates are those applying for work.

“Kayo po ngayon ang HR department, kami po ay aplikante sa trabaho Gusto mo naman bang mag-hire ng isang empleyado na hindi mo nakausap, hindi mo nakita? (You are now the HR department, we are job applicants. Do you want to hire an employee that you haven't talked to, you haven't seen?),” he said.

All the presidential bets, except former senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr., were present during the Sunday’s debate.

Domagoso also said debates serve as a platform wherein candidates can voice their stand on issues and plans for the country.

“Ang mga kababayan natin ay may karapatang marinig ang mga layunin ng ating mga kapwa kandidato (Our countrymen have the right to hear the objectives of our fellow candidates)," he added.

“You deserve to know what's in our minds. What matters is marinig niyo mismo sa bibig namin ang tunay na layunin namin para mapataas ang pamumuhay ng isang tao (What matters is you can hear from our mouths our true goal to improve a person's life)."
