DAGUPAN CITY – Huge rallies in this city and Alaminos City on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, gave UniTeam presidential candidate former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos an encouraging outlook of what his chances would be in the Philippines’ most vote-rich province.

Already tired after a hectic swing of the provinces in the Ilocos region, the UniTeam got a huge lift from the warm welcome given them by Dagupenos, led by City Mayor Brian Lim and Pangasinan Rep. Christopher “Toff” De Venecia.
De Venecia said he was confident that Pangasinan will be able to deliver a landslide win for the Marcos-Sara Duterte tandem in the May elections.
Pangasinan has about two million registered voters.
In Alaminos City, former congressman Art Celeste said supporters of the UniTeam came to the Lucap Wharf as early as dawn Saturday to be able to get a glimpse of Marcos and his running mate.
“People were coming in as early as 2 a.m. for the rally which was still in the afternoon,” he said.
Celeste added that “if the election was to be held today, we may already have a new President.”
He said the people of Alaminos were satisfied with the message of unity that the UniTeam carried, and believed that this would be key in lifting the country out of poverty.
The UniTeam proceeds with its Pangasinan sorties on Sunday, starting with a 7:30 a.m. grand rally in Carmen, Rosales, Pangasinan (Old Airport) before a motorcade that will bring it to other parts of the province.
