3 nabbed, P986K shabu seized in Manila buy-bust

Police arrested three suspects and seized P986,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Tondo, Manila on Friday, Feb. 25.

The suspects were identified as Judy Ann Barrozo, alias " Ning," 24; Vannie Rabia, 33; and Jennilyn Betito, 33, all residents of Tondo.

Based on the report of Police Lt. Col. Robert Domingo, commander of Manila Police District (MPD) Jose Abad Santos Police Station, an entrapment operation was launched against the suspects at about 9:05 a.m. at the corner of Jose Abad Santos Ave. and Morong St. in Tondo.

Police Lt. Joan Dorado, Station Drug Enforcement Unit chief, led the operation.

The suspects were arrested after they sold shabu to a poseur buyer.

Police recovered from them 29 sachets of shabu weighing around 140 to 145 grams worth around P986,000.

The suspects will face charges for violation of Article ll of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Terence Ranis)
