In a press statement issued on Thursday, Feb. 24, PhilSA said that the signing was conducted on Feb. 17, 2022, at the PAEF office in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila.

“The said memorandum shall explore a partnership between PAEF and PhilSA through workshops and educational exchanges to further promote and pursue space education towards future participants,” said PhilSA.

The training programs and scholarships likewise cover related fields such as space law and policy, business, economics, international relations, diplomacy, and communications.

PhilSA Director-General Joel Marciano Jr. also said that he hopes that the partnership will inspire Filipinos to “elevate the status of space science and technology” in the country.

Meanwhile, PhilSA explained that the signing of MOU kickstarts the implementation of scholarships, training programs, and other educational exchanges through degree and non-degree studies for Filipinos in universities as well as the United States.
