The 33-year-old star’s agency confirmed that he has COVID-19.

Awesome ENT said before Park Seo-joon went to the filming location, he tested positive for COVID-19 using a self-test kit on Feb. 18. He underwent a polymerase chain reaction (PCR), which confirmed that he has COVID-19 on Feb. 19.

His case is a breakthrough infection as Park Seo-joon is fully vaccinated and received his booster shot. Breakthrough infection is an infection of a fully vaccinated person.

From Feb. 18, Park Seo-joon canceled all his schedules and is taking all necessary measures for treatment and self-isolation. His agency said he has no special symptoms and is now on the recovery stage.

Korean health authorities impose a seven-day isolation period for fully vaccinated persons who are diagnosed with COVID-19.

Park Seo-joon is also in the film “The Marvels,” which will be released on Feb. 17, 2023.

There are at least 146 Korean stars, mostly K-pop idols, who have tested positive for COVID-19 since Jan. 19 due to the spread of the highly contagious Omicron variant in South Korea.

K-pop idol Lee Mi-joo of girl group Lovelyz, actor Lee Sang-yeob and singer Jessi, stars of the Korean TV show “Sixth Sense,” and comedians Kim Min-kyung and Jang Dong-min tested positive for COVID-19.
