Davao's BAROG 2.0 unites to back BBM-Sara

DAVAO CITY – The Batan-on Alang Kang Rody Gihapon (BAROG) 2.0 said it will combine forces to support President Rodrigo Duterte and his three children who are seeking political posts in the May national and local elections.

In a multi-sectoral Leaders' Summit last weekend, the group expressed full support to the Duterte siblings and presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

Vice-presidential candidate and incumbent Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte–Carpio is the running mate of Marcos under the UniTeam. Her brother, Sebastian "Baste" Duterte, is running for mayor, while incumbent First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte is seeking reelection.

BAROG 2.0 spokesperson Alex Into said their group is ready to lead communities to support the BBM–Sara team. He added that all the sectors here in Davao City want the president's programs to continue in the next leadership.

"We believe that only the Bongbong Marcos and Mayor Sara Duterte tandem has the knowledge and capability to continue what our President Duterte has started and accomplished so far, and we do not want that to end," Into said.

Among the sectors that joined the parallel group are indigenous peoples (IPs), fisherfolks, youth, Muslims, professionals, seniors, business, riders, women, sports, and LGBTQ+.

Each of the sectors, through a representative, presented their cause for the BBM-Sara campaign.
