Bulacan earns top-performing public library award


The Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) received a certificate of recognition from the National Library of the Philippines for its outstanding performance in extending library services to 375,628 physical and online users in 2021.

The PGB was recognized as the 2021 top-performing public library in the Philippines in the provincial category for its commitment and dedication to public service.

The recognition was awarded by Dir. Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano of the National Library of the Philippines with Dr. Blesila P. Velasco, head of Public Libraries Division.

Aside from the certificate of recognition, the PGB also received a certificate of completion of the 2021 monthly Reports.

Dr. Eliseo S. Dela Cruz, Provincial History Arts and Culture Tourism Office ( PHACTO) head, received the Bulacan Provincial Library award with Marlon A. Hipolito, Provincial Librarian, May Arlene DG. Torres, History and Heritage Division head, and Cyrille Ann A. Dela Cruz, assistant program coordinator.

The PGB, headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando, expressed gratitude to the National Library of the Philippines for the recognition.
