It happened a long-time ago, but at one point in time, Sharon Cuneta was romantically linked to Tarlac First District Representative Carlos "Charlie" Cojuangco, son of the late billionaire Eduardo "Danding" Cojuangco.

Sharon almost made a revelation about it when she surprised netizens with an online dialogue, using her private Facebook account, April Mondragon, in 2018.

The name April Mondragon was her character from the 1981 blockbuster debut film Dear Heart with Gabby Concepcion.

Sharon gamely talked about his past relationships during the online dialogue where she mentioned Gabby, Robin Padilla, Richard Gomez, Rowell Santiago, Albert Martinez and two non-showbiz guys.

But there's a guy which she only calls the "C" guy in his life. She refused to divulge the name, but her legions of fans believe she was referring to Charlie Cojuangco.

Sharon recalled she almost got engaged to "a Cojuangco."

"So if I wanted influence and billions, I could've had it.

"It's okay. I built and made my own. Hahaha!

"I always chose with my heart. Hopefully with my head. Sometimes the head's just gotta shut the heart up. Happened to me too," she commented.

Until now, the full identity of the "C" guy in Sharon's life remains a secret.

When Danding passed away in 2020, Sharon was shocked about his loss.

Sharon wrote on social media: "You and your family welcomed me with open arms and loved me until the end. Thank you for treating me like a daughter.”

On Feb. 22, Tuesday, Charlie passed away, as announced by his wife, China Jocson-Cojuangco. Prior to China, Charlie was married to actress-beauty queen Rio Diaz who died following her battle with cancer.

Sharon is now happily married to Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, who is running for vice president in the May 2022 national elections.
