In his pre-recorded "Talk to the People" aired late Monday night, February 21, the President expressed his gratitude to the public, particularly volunteer doctors who choose to make a contribution to the vaccination program.

He, in particular, lauded how everyone's participation is helping make the vaccination of children a lighter experience.

"Your contribution, especially in making a more memorable experience for the child, would go a long way also to how he improves his paradigm towards life," he said.

According to the President, the government also learns a thing or two from the people during events such as last week's National Vaccination Days.

"I join you (Vaccine Czar Carlito Galvez Jr.) in expressing, I said, my gratitude for making it possible. Each and every one of you, maraming salamat sa inyong lahat (my sincerest thanks)," he said.

"Minsan natuturuan ninyo ang gobyerno ninyo (Sometimes, you are also teaching your government)... We do not claim to be, really, in perfect harmony with all and any event," he added.

Data from the National COVID-19 Vaccination Operations Center showed that as of February 17, a total of 329,285 children ages five to 11 have already received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
