Cher expressed this in a series of tweets on Wednesday, February 16.

Initially, the 75-year-old singer said she does not know the Vice President.

"Excuse Don't Know Leni," she said.

When a Robredo supporter replied that Robredo is the incumbent Vice President of the Philippines "and soon to be our President!", the "Believe" singer answered in the affirmative.

"BRAVO!! LET WOMEN DO IT!!" she tweeted.

"Let Leni, and all women fighting to save climate, children, elderly, poor, homeless, sick, people of all colors, ethnicities, LGBTQ force honor in government make medical, care, education, childcare free," she added in all capital letters.

"Tax corporation, stop child labor, animal cruelty, etc." she continued.

Later on, Cher seemed to have asked for understanding if she didn't know who Vice President Robredo was.

"I don't know everything, everyone. Cut me some slack," she said.

"I work hours every day, sometimes talking to several continents at once trying to help, make changes," she added.

Robredo is one of the top five candidates in the running to become the Philippines' 17th president.
