QUEZON - Two towns here have already started the vaccination of children, aged 5-11, on Monday, Feb. 14, according to a report of the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO).
In Pagbilao town, Mayor Shierre Ann Portes-Palicpic led the rollout of ResbakUNA Kids with the Rural Health Unit headed by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Riki J. Tolentino.
The vaccination site at the municipality's covered court was festooned with balloons and other kiddie party decorations. The children were chocolates after getting their jab.
Another town that started its pediatric vaccination is Atimonan.
According to the IPHO, it is waiting for the arrival of vaccines this week that are intended for every town, including the allocations for the Provincial Health Office and the Quezon Medical Center.
As of Feb. 16, the province logged 27 new cases, 199 active cases, and 42 recoveries.
Quezon and Lucena City were placed under Alert Level 2 effective Feb.16 - 28.
