P146K marijuana, shabu seized in Paranaque and Pasay; 4 arrested


Members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Paranaque City and Pasay City police conducted separate buy-bust operations that led to the arrest of four drug suspects and confiscated from them P146,336 worth of shabu and dried marijuana leaves on Tuesday (Feb. 15).

In Paranaque City, Col. Maximo Sebastian, police chief, identified the suspects as John Luis Rubio, 35, and Jovellete Abainza, 32, female, both of Paranaque City.

Sebastian said the suspects were arrested at about 12:00 a.m. at No. 99 Rosas St., Bagong Buhay Olivarez Compound, Paranaque City.

Members of the SDEU recovered from the suspects 18 grams of shabu worth P122,400.

In Pasay City, Col. Cesar Paday-os, police chief, identified the suspects as John Nikko Celeridad, 24, and Eugenio Niegas, 21.

Paday-os said the suspects were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by members of SEDU.

Confiscated from the suspects were 3.4 grams of shabu worth P23,120 and P816 worth of dried marijuana leaves weighing 6.8 grams. These were turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for confirmatory test.

The arrested suspects are now detained at the custodial facilities and were charged for illegal possession of drugs.
