TACLOBAN CITY - Presidential aspirant and Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso kicked off his Visayas campaign in Calbayog City, Samar on Tuesday, Feb. 15.
The Aksyon Demokratiko presidential bet, together with his running mate, Dr. Willie Ong, and senatorial candidates Jopet Sison, Carl Balita, and Samira Gotoc courted the voters in Calbayog and Catbalogan City.
Domagoso traces his roots in the Visayas -- his father is from Antique, and his mother hails from Northern Samar.
"Ang hindi lumingon sa pinanggalingan, ay hindi makakarating sa paroroonan," he told his supporters who flocked to see him in his campaign sortie.
He also paid a courtesy visit to Calbayog City Mayor Diego Rivera.
"Kasing init ng panahon ngayong araw ang inyong pagsalubong sa buong grupo namin, lubos ang aming pasasalamat sa inyong mainit na pagtanggap sa amin," he said.
After his motorcade, Domagoso attended a dinner hosted by Samar Governor Michael Tan. Catbalogan City Mayor Dexter Uy was reportedly present at the dinner.
The actor-turned-politician is expected to proceed to Northern Samar for a homecoming and multi-sectoral assembly in Catarman town.
