NCR retains Alert Level 2 status; Alert Level 3 in 7 areas from Feb. 16-28

The government's pandemic task force has decided to keep the National Capital Region (NCR) under the coronavirus (COVID-19) Alert Level 2 while it placed seven other areas under Alert Level 3 from February 16 to 28, 2022.

In a statement, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said that the following areas will be under Alert Level 3:

  1. Iloilo City
  2. Iloilo Province
  3. Guimaras
  4. Zamboanga City
  5. Davao de Oro
  6. Davao Occidental
  7. South Cotabato

Meanwhile, aside from Metro Manila, the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has placed 97 other areas under Alert Level 2.

For Luzon, the areas that will be under Alert Level 2 from February 16 to 28 are:

  1. Abra
  2. Apayao
  3. Baguio City
  4. Benguet
  5. Ifugao
  6. Kalinga
  7. Mountain Province
  8. Dagupan City
  9. Ilocos Norte
  10. Ilocos Sur
  11. La Union
  12. Pangasinan
  13. Batanes
  14. City of Santiago
  15. Cagayan
  16. Isabela
  17. Nueva Vizcaya
  18. Quirino
  19. Bulacan
  20. Angeles City
  21. Aurora
  22. Bataan
  23. Nueva Ecija
  24. Olongapo City
  25. Pampanga
  26. Tarlac
  27. Zambales
  28. Cavite
  29. Rizal
  30. Batangas
  31. Laguna
  32. Lucena City
  33. Quezon Province
