More film and television personalities have showed their full support for the presidential bid of Vice President Leni Robredo, the latest among them are actresses Carmi Martin, Angel Aquino and Marjorie Barretto.



In a video posted on Facebook, Martin said she will vote for Robredo in the upcoming elections for an honest government that will address the country’s pressing problems.



“Iboboto ko si Leni Robredo para sa gobyernong tapat at siguradong maayos natin ang lahat (I will vote for Leni Robredo to have a clean government and everything will be fixed),” she said.

“Iboboto ko si Leni Robredo dahil sa gobyernong tapat, maisusulong ang tunay na pagbabago para sa kapakanan, kaunlaran at kasaganahan ng lahat (I will vote for Leni Robredo because of having a clean government, we can push for real change for the sake of everyone’s well-being, progress, and prosperity),” Aquino said.



Barretto also vouched for an honest government under Robredo presidency, noting that because of this, Filipinos can have peace of mind that they will overcome any crisis.



Actor and TV host Robi Domingo believes that the development of the Filipino youth will happen under Robredo.



“Iboboto ko si Leni Robredo dahil sa Gobyernong Tapat, ang Kabataang Pinoy ay angat (I will vote for Leni Robredo because of a clean government, the Filipino youth will progress),” he said.

On Feb. 8, the proclamation rally of Robredo’s ticket in her hometown of Naga City, Camarines Sur became a star-studded event after various artists such as Gab Valenciano, Pinky Amador, Rita Avila, and others graced the event as volunteers.



Earlier, singer-songwriters Ogie Alcasid and Gary Valenciano and actress Iza Calzado further solidified their support for Robredo’s candidacy.



They believe the country needs a leader like her to solve various problems such as hunger, unemployment and the pandemic.



“Nakikiisa ako sa laban ni Ma’am Leni Robredo. Isang mahusay at mabuting babae ang gagabay at tutulong sa atin para ayusin ang ating pagka-gutom, kawalan ng trabaho, takot at sakit (I’m joining the fight of Ma’am Leni Robredo. She is a competent and good woman who will guide and help us to solve our hunger, joblessness, fears, and illnesess),” Calzado stressed.

As a first-time voter, Valenciano said he’s going to make the right choice by voting for Robredo.



“Ang dahilan ay talagang napatunayan lalong lalo na nung dumapo ang COVID-19 sa Pilipinas (The reason is really proven when COVID-19 struck the Philippines), she had plans, hindi lang (not only) intentions in order to help and make sure na makakatulong ang plano niya sa bawat Pilipino na nangangailangan (that her plans will help every Filipino in need),” he said.



Other celebrities, including John Lapus, Jugs Jugueta, Yayo Aguila, Jolina Magdangal, Saab Magalona, Jaime Fabregas, Pia Magalona, Bituin Escalante, K Brosas, Nikki Valdez, Arlene Muhlach, Cherry Pie Picache, Noel Cabangon, Ogie Diaz, Ana Roces, Mitch Valdes, and Rica Peralejo, among others, also aired their support for Robredo.
