They expressed their support to Robredo after attending the recent inauguration of the “Kakampink” headquarters in Borongan City.

The local executives are Borongan City Mayor Dayan Agda, Mayors Benjamen Ver of Jipapad, Roland Boie Evardone of Arteche, Mayor Toytoy Germino of Can-Avid, Dennis Estaron of San Julian, Flora Ty of Gen. Macarthur, Melchor Mergal of Salcedo, and Edwin Quiminales of Mercedes.

“Importante na pumili tayo ng lider. Lider na handang tumulong sa kapwa. Lider na marunong umintindi. Lider na magtatrabaho para sa ikabubuti ng ating bansa na Pilipinas (It’s important to choose a leader. A leader who is ready to help fellowmen. A leader who knows to understand. A leader who will work for the betterment of the Philippines),” Agda said in a post on Facebook.

During the inauguration, he said the gathering is a “demonstration that Estehanon stands on a different principle and cares about the future of future generations.”

Evardone noted that another batch of local officials are expected to pledge allegiance to Robredo.

"I never doubted because knowing my fellow mayors in Eastern Samar I know we are all advocate for good governance, we always wanted a genuine leader, isang tunay na lingkod bayan na walang bahid ng kurapsyon, may track record at maasahan (a true public servant with no issue of corruption, who has track record and dependable) in difficult times. Si VP Leni iyon (That’s VP Leni)," said Evardone.

Other local officials present were Hernani Vice Mayor Edgar Boco, Quinapondan Vice Mayor Jasper Candido and Councilor RV Evardone, son of Gov. Ben Evardone.

Rev. Fr. Jan Michael Gadicho led the blessing of the Kakampink headquarters located at JIDCAR Complex in Brgy. Can-abong, Borongan City, Eastern Samar.

The inauguration was part of the province's Pink Caravan where supporters from around Eastern Samar gathered in Borongan City to display their support for Robredo’s candidacy.

Meanwhile, former Chief Justice Hilario Davide Jr. also endorsed Robredo’s presidential bid, citing her “spiritual, intellectual, ethical moral, and social values and virtues.”

“This Leni-Kiko tandem is to me the best ever tandem for President and Vice President in our history since the first time I exercised my right to vote, after reaching the age of majority,” he said in a statement.

Calling them heaven-sent, the retired chief magistrate said that both candidates showed loyalty in serving the people.

He added that it is for the “best interest” of the Filipino people to see Robredo occupying the seat in Malacañang.
