P9.6 M marijuana seized in Bulacan; 2 arrested

An estimated P9.6 million worth of marijuana was seized from the two suspects in a drug sting conducted by the Bulacan Philippine National Police (PNP) in San, Miguel, Bulacan on Thursday, Feb. 10.

In a report to Col. Rommel J. Ochave, acting Bulacan police director, the suspects were identified as Dexter Asban of Barangay Caingin, City of Malolos, and Jomerson Macusi of Barangay Tabang, Guiguinto, in the province of Bulacan.

They were arrested during the drug sting conducted by the operatives of Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) in Barangay Paliwasan, San Miguel, Bulacan.

The operatives of Bulacan PIU confiscated 80 bricks of marijuana leaves wrapped in plastic weighing 80 kilograms from the apartment being rented by the suspects in San Miguel town at about 12:30 a.m. A cohort of the two suspects managed to escape.
