The increase in voters' preference of presidential candidate and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagaso is mainly due to his clear platform and proof of achievements, Aksyon Demokratiko's campaign manager Lito Banayo said on Thursday, Feb. 10.

“The messaging is one which is clear cut. We have proof of our achievement in the City of Manila. We can replicate it all over the country, and we have the platforms, the programs to show that it can be done,” Banayo said in an interview with ANC Headstart.
“So, we did our homework, and for us, it’s ‘tunay na solusyon and mabilis umaksyon' (real solutions and quick action). We do not dally and we are not afraid to face the media. That’s another thing,” he added.
The campaign manager also asserted that “the silent majority will gravitate towards Isko” and not Vice President Leni Robredo.
“Precisely because the message of Vice President Leni has been centered on targeting her political enemies,” he noted.
Aside from having a clear agenda in addressing various issues in the country, Banayo also cited Domagoso’s courage in facing other candidates.
Banayo attributed the decrease in numbers of former Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to his refusal to participate in media forums or face other candidates.
“The reason I suppose his numbers are gradually going down is precisely because people do not like candidates who do not face their competitors, their opponents,” Banayo said.
Banayo’s statement came after a survey conducted by research firm, Tangere, on February 4-5, showed that 54 percent of respondents chose Marcos as their presidential bet, followed by Domagoso with 22 percent, and Robredo with 15 percent.
He said Domagoso’s numbers significantly rose from 16.75 percent from the Jan. 18 survey.
