Following the announcement of Korean star couple Hyun Bin, 39, and Son Ye-jin, 40, on Feb. 10 that they are going to get married, the details of the wedding have been announced.
MS Team Entertainment, Son Ye-jin’s agency, said the wedding will be held in Seoul in March.
“We would like to inform you about the wedding announcement of actress Son Ye-jin, which was released today,” it said.
It added, “The two, who have met with warm support and interest from many people, will hold the wedding in March in Seoul.”
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it said, the wedding will be a private event.
“As it is a difficult time for everyone due to the pandemic, according to the wishes of the two actors, they have decided to hold the event privately with parents and acquaintances from both families. We ask for your generous understanding of this,” it said.
The agency added, “We hope that you will send blessings and support to the future of the two who will be together in a special and precious beginning of their lives, and actress Son Ye-jin will do her best to show you a better image to repay your love for her.”
Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin announced on Instagram on Feb. 10 that they are getting married.
“I thought long and hard about how to share this story because it’s an important one. I found someone to spend the rest of my life with,” Son Ye-jin announced.
She added, “Yes… it’s him. Boy meets girl, recognizes each other in the crowd, promises to build a future together…I couldn’t imagine! It happened so naturally…But, isn’t that destiny?”
“Just being with him, I feel warm and protected. Please help us celebrate the beginning of our future,” she said.
Son Ye-jin added, “And to my dearest fans, I have received unconditional love and for a long time now, I thought, there’s no way to repay it. Please know that I’m infinitely grateful and I also wish you all happiness!”
Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin starred in the 2019-2020 hit drama “Crash Landing on You.” Before this, they worked together in the 2018 film “The Negotiation.”
