Ben&Ben releases a special advocacy song about internet safety

'Mag-ingat' always!

As the world is on the cusp of building the metaverse, the role of the internet has never been more essential. It has built intangible bridges that connect everyone as people are pushed to keep their distance due to the pandemic. But—and this is not news—it is also a host of negative and illegal acts.

Spreading the word about internet safety, Filipino band Ben&Ben releases a song in partnership with tech firm Google. The “Mag-ingat” song, written by Miguel and Paolo Benjamin, presents a series of online scams, from fake news and catfishing to too-good-to-be-true deals, and reminds everyone to read carefully, analyze things before clicking, and keep an open eye to any form of virtual abuse.

To further their mission, the folk-pop band also shares tips on social media on how to not become a victim of these online hackings and other digital scams.
