The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (MEID) is considering suggestions to downgrade restrictions in the National Capital Region (NCR) to Alert Level 1 as the number of daily coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases continue to go down.
Another indication of normalization came with Malacanang saying that a COVID-19 national action plan is now being drafted with much focus on national economic recovery.
The OCTA Research Group said it was hoping that daily infections in the Philippines would drop to less than 1,000 next month as it also observed the downtrend in cases in eight Luzon cities.
The Department of Education (DepED) also disclosed that 304 more schools have qualified to conduct face-to-face classes.
Meanwhile, vaccination of children aged 5 to 11 years old continued with 18,000 kids already receiving their COVID-19 jabs.
