Bautista to offer 'housing for all' if elected senator

Senatorial candidate Herbert Bautista vowed to continue the housing projects he started as Quezon City mayor if and when he is elected to the legislative chamber.

"That is what I am bringing with me—housing for all," Bautista told the wife of his fellow senatorial bet Gringo Honasan during the UniTeam Alliance's proclamation rally at the Philippine Arena on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

Bautista's pledge came after Jane, Honasan's wife, thanked him for being able to become among Bautista's beneficiaries in his Bistekville housing program.

Jane delivered her husband's proclamation speech after the senatorial aspirant was not able to attend Palace hopeful Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte-Carpio's campaign kick off.

For Bautista, the housing shortage must be addressed both by the government and the private sector.

"If the government and private sector join forces, more housing units would be built for our people," he said.
