Kapamilya star Toni Gonzaga-Soriano wrapped up the proclamation rally of presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and running mate Sara Duterte with the rendition of the OPM song "Ako Ay PIlipino" at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan on Tuesday night.

Toni as master of ceremonies

Toni also acted as the master of ceremonies during the unity rally as she introduced the senatorial line-up of the Bongbong-Sara tandem for the 2022 national elections.

At the end of the two-hour rally that was broadcast on Facebook, Toni rendered "Ako Ay Pilipino" which was originally recorded by Kuh Ledesma.

"Ako Ay Pilipino" is a patriotic song composed by George Canseco in 1981, under commission from Former First Lady Imelda Marcos, mother of Bongbong Marcos.

In September 2021, Toni created a stir when she interviewed Bongbong for her vlog "Toni Talks." So far, the interview has been viewed more than 13 million times.

Toni is also close to the Marcoses because Bongbong is her wedding godfather.
