All gloves are off, and the battle among the country’s next national elected officials starts today, Feb. 8, 2022, which will be the start of the 90-day campaign heading into the May 2022 polls.

The proclamation rallies of the presidential candidates have been set in different parts of the country – Manila Mayor Isko Moreno at the Kartilya ng Katipunan in Manila, Sen. Panfilo Lacson in Imus, Cavite; former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan; Sen. Manny Pacquiao in General Santos City, and Vice President Leni Robredo in Naga City.

But sorry, folks, President Duterte isn’t too keen on endorsing any of these presidentiables just yet as he disclosed in his Talk to the People.

The plight of world-class Filipino athlete Ernest John Obiena was taken up in a hearing of the Senate Committee on Sports, where the pole vaulter said he was yearning to be included in the Philippine team roster.

The warning is up for those who do not want to have themselves vaccinated as Health Secretary Francisco Duque III disclosed that 93 percent of recent deaths related to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was among those who chose not to be inoculated.
