Adopted by several political parties, Tulfo joins Pacquiao in Mindanao kickoff rally

GEN. SANTOS CITY - Adopted by at least three political groups, independent senatorial candidate Raffy Tulfo joined PROMDI Party presidential bet Sen. Manny Pacquiao as they scheduled the launch of the 2022 national campaign in General Santos City on Tuesday night (Feb. 8).

Pacquiao and Tulfo are among the national candidates to choose Mindanao as the venue of the proclamation rally of Team Pacquiao.

Pacquiao was born in Kibawe, Bukidnon but his family displaced by the communist insurgency. They moved to Saranggani province but the future boxing icon spent most of his younger days in General Santos City and Malabon, Metro Manila.

On the other hand, popular broadcast host Tulfo, together with his equally well-known brothers Ramon, Erwin and Ben, was raised in Davao City.

Tulfo is running as an independent candidate but has been leading numerous poll surveys. He has been adopted by the UniTeam headed by its presidential bet former Sen. Bongbong Marcos and his running mate Mayor Sara Duterte; the PDP-Laban (Cusi) wing and Pacquiao’s PROMDI.

Deputy Speaker and Buhay Partylist Rep. Lito Atienza, a Manila native, was also scheduled to speak campaign launch to be held at the Oval Plaza Grandstand here. However, he suffered a sprain and was not able to make the trip. Sen. Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, together with re-electionist Senators Richard Gordon and Sherwin Gatchalian, will also address the rally.

Also expected on stage here is senatorial candidate former Gov. Lutz Barbo.
