Domagoso along with Manila City Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna, Doc Willie Ong, and Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III, led the launching of the pediatric vaccination for the said age group in the city.

Domagoso urged the parents to get their children vaccinated as “it is based in science and research conducted by scientists and doctors.”

The Manila mayor also assured that the vaccination program for the children will continue and will set up more vaccination sites for the age group to make it easier for parents to bring them for immunization.

Lacuna, who is also a physician, personally inoculated some of the children.

The registration for the children is ongoing.

Walk-ins are not allowed at the Manila Zoo. Parents and children should register at www.manilazoo.ph to enter the vaccination site.

They must also bring their QR code that they will get from www.manilacovid19vaccine.ph to enable the city’s frontliners to encode their records in the city’s system.

The city government is also looking into the possibility of using the Bagong Ospital ng Maynila as a vaccination site for the children.

As of Jan. 26, a total of 11,281 minors aged five to 11 and 186,302 aged 12 to 17 registered to receive the COVID-19 jabs, according to the Manila Public Information Office.
