Erik Matti’s ‘On the Job: The Missing 8‘ gets PH premiere date

'On The Job: The Missing 8'

Director Erik Matti’s critically acclaimed film “On The Job: The Missing 8” will finally screen for the Filipino audience as part of the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ “Wagi: A Celebration of Filipino Excellence” series.

It can be recalled that “On the Job: The Missing 8” premiered at the 78th Venice
International Film Festival last September and drew positive responses from international critics and audience, who lauded the performance of both John Arcilla and Dennis Trillo, who played the lead roles in the film.

While jurors said that the two actors were the top contenders for the VIFF’s Volpi Cup, the award eventually went to John Arcilla, the first time that the honor was given to a Filipino actor.

The film will be open to the public on a limited capacity on Feb. 18 at the CCP Main Theater. Tickets are available through Ticketworld. Attendees will be required to abide by health and safety protocol guidelines by the IATF and the CCP.
